A lot of good things were about to happen to Leon Wilhite. But first, he had to get out of prison. I needed a quick read to get me out of a slump. I love how this author wrote this short story! The villain(s) in this story were not expected. It�s safe to say that you can truly never trust anyone. I�m kind of upset I read the story so fast !!
Ms. Kenya! Why you leave me hanging like that?!? Got me all invested. Now that was a cliffhanger. Please hurry up with the next book. Please and thank you. LOL.
This book is making me look at everyone sideways. I feel like I can't trust anyone anymore. The amount of scheming and plotting going on to defraud an innocent woman was just doing the most. As usual, Kenya always tells such wild stories so I wanted more. She mentioned possibly publishing an updated version at some point, so I look forward to seeing how she further develops these crazy devious-asss characters.
Who can you trust? Certainly not many characters in this book. This novella was entertaining to read as its pages were filled with deception and betrayal. I wonder when part 2 drops.
The things people did for money in this one - so crooked and conniving. No one could be trusted as their motives shifted chapter by chapter.�Kenya Moss-Dymes always delivers complex, layered stories and "Best Laid Plan" was no exception. Even with so many devious plots spinning, I never got lost following the narrative or twists. Her writing style is just fluid and captivating.What I love most is how satisfying her novellas/short stories feel even though they're shorter forms. She packs so much richness and detail that it feels like a fully fleshed out novel.�If you enjoy complex characters, morally gray dilemmas or a juicy suspenseful read, "Best Laid Plan" delivers.
